The "Nicolaitans" is a
transliteration of two Greek words "Nico” (to rule) and "Laos"
(the people). Therefore, “one who rules over the laity.” This view refers to
any teaching that exalts the clergy over the laity or to any church system that
exalts leaders over people.
Psalm 28:4 Give them according
to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavors; give them
according to the work of their hands; render to them what they deserve.
