Then I heard a voice from heaven
saying to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are the
dead who die in the Lord from now on.’” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “that they may
rest from their labors, and their works follow them.”

prophecy came down from heaven, and not from men, and therefore it is of
certain truth (MH)

was to be preserved and published – by writing; it was to be matter of record,
that the people of God might have recourse to it for their comfort upon all
occasions (MH)
