After these things I saw four angels
standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth,
that the wind should not blow on the earth, on the sea, or on any tree.
- · An account of the restraint laid upon the winds. By these winds we suppose are meant those errors which would occasion a great deal of trouble and mischief to the church of God (MH)

Daniel 7:2 Daniel spoke, saying, ‘I saw in my vision by
night, and behold, the four winds of heaven were stirring up the Great Sea.
Zechariah 6:5 ….These are four spirits of heaven, who go
out from their station before the Lord of all the earth.
