And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as
the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying,
“Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent
reigns!

The height of praise on earth is only a dim
shadow of what these verses describe. (DG)

At this point, Revelation approaches the
consummation of God’s plan for all history, so we also come to a summit of
praise. (DG)
