“But leave out the court which is
outside the temple, and do not measure it, for it has been given to the
Gentiles. And they will tread the holy
city underfoot for forty-two months.
- · Herod built an outer court and called it the court of the Gentiles. This was no part of the temple, and therefore God would have no regard to it (MH)
- · There is a set time for the city to be put underfoot
- · Whose who worship in the outer court are either such as worship in a false manner or with hypocritical hearts. Those who worship in the outer court will be rejected, and only those who worship within the veil accepted. (MH)
Psalm 79:1 O GOD, the nations have come into Your
inheritance; Your holy temple they have defiled; they have laid Jerusalem in
